Aesthetic Improvements & Art Beat 2010

Lately, I seem to spend much of my time working my fingers off in my tiny studio on one project or another. And, when I'm not there, I am mulling over these creative endeavours in my mind.... constantly critiquing every last detail.

Creativity can be exhausting, but it has lead me to a new and improved design on my original bygone button necklace. The original braided ribbon has been replaced with sturdy organic hemp, yarn and satin cording. Im loving the contrast of the natural fibers against the metal buttons, and happily the new textured effect seems to be a hit!

You can catch the debut of the newest Scout creations this Saturday, 11am-6pm at Somerville's annual A r t B e a t. I won't be in attendance, but my necklaces will be featured in a fabulous booth with the Amanda Antunes, of d.aMa design, and Sylvana Costa, of Wicked Peacock. Stop by, say hi to the gals and check out the handmade goodness :)

My Necklaces!

Each necklace, created from cord, ribbon, beads, and vintage buttons, comes in either gold or silver, and in two different lengths. Short necklaces($68) measure approximately 18” and rest around the collar bone, while long necklaces($74) measure approximately 24.”
